Erin Labour, Founder of Rent the Rink, grew up in the hockey mecca of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, where he played hockey from the age of 6. Being a Fan of the Red Wings since the late 80's, having the opportunity to play hockey at The Joe and starting Rent the Rink (originally Rent the Joe) has been a dream. Now that the group at Rent the Rink has expanded their horizons beyond Detroit, Erin can't wait to skate at other NHL arenas, helping others to "Play like the Pros"
Southern Indiana isn’t exactly a hockey hotbed… but thanks to the magic of the Mighty Ducks, Austin Chen grew up hooked on hockey and started skating at the age of 3. After hanging up the skates in high school, he rediscovered his love of the game after college and has been re-obsessed ever since. Although he’s an electrical engineer by trade, Austin lends his graphic design, apparel development, and entrepreneurial marketing skills to ensure that Rent the Rink is one of the best recreational hockey experiences in the world.
